100% Music Songwriting Contest is an annual songwriting contest that awards the best international songwriters from all over the world, whether they are signed or unsigned, and connects them with music industry and media professionals though the creation of a promotional CD that will be distributed worldwide. After an initial selection made by the 100% Music Songwriting Contest, the 10 best entries in each category will be judged by an external jury composed of industry and media professionals. 3 winners per category will then be chosen, as well as 3 overall winners from each first-place winner in each category.

Contest categories for the 2010 Edition are: Acoustic, Pop/AC, Soundtracks, TV, Video games, Rock, Electronic, Blues/Jazz, World and Hip hop/R&B.

Several thousand dollars worth of music, promotional and cash prizes, donated by Loopmasters, IK Multimedia, Epiphone, eMedia, Blue Cat Audio, Earmaster, Kong Audio, Music Gorilla, Guitar Pro, Equinox Sounds, Producer Loops and the contest will be awarded to the winners and overall winners. In addition, as for the 2009 Edition, the 2010 Edition will give the first place category winners the chance to be included in a promotional CD, including a booklet presenting the artists with their photo and contact details. Some of these CDs will be sent to music industry and media professionals who have already been contacted by the contest organizers (list available on the contest website). Furthermore, 30 copies will be given to each artist featured in the compilation, so that they can promote their music for the country/professional of their choice. All these elements make the contest an incredible placement and promotional opportunity for both signed and unsigned artists.

The contest is open from June 14 to November 16, 2010. Contestants can enter online though the contest website http://www.100-music-songwriting-contest.com or by mail via entry forms that can be downloaded on the contest website. Entry fees are US$15 per entry.
