100% Music Songwriting Contest is an annual songwriting contest that awards the best international songwriters from all over the world, whether they are signed or unsigned, and connects them with music industry and media professionals though the creation of a promotional CD that will be distributed worldwide. The 2010 Edition is currently accepting entries and is open from June 14 to November 16, 2010.


You can enter the contest in 3 different ways:

 

To enter by mail print and complete the mail entry form and send it by mail along with your songs on audio CD(s), data CD(s) and/or data DVD(s).

 

To enter online via the contest website, fill in the online entry form then pay the entry fees using a secure payment by credit card or a paypal account. You will then be able to send us your songs in audio format (mp3, wma, ogg, wav, aif or aiff) using our upload form.


You can also enter the contest online using Sonicbids. If you are not yet a Sonicbids member and want to submit online, you should visit the 100% Music Songwriting Contest's Sonicbids page and sign-up for the Sonicbids Combo Package (includes submission AND discounted Sonicbids membership). If you are already a Sonicbids member, you may log into your Sonicbids account and visit the Promoter Drop Box to submit an entry.

 

Contest categories are:

 

  • Acoustic: Acoustic, Folk, Singer/Songwriter, Bluegrass, Country
  • Pop/AC: Adult Contemporary, Pop
  • Rock: Rock, Classic Rock , Alternative, Goth, Metal, Punk
  • Electronic: Electronic, Dance.
  • Blues/Jazz: Blues, Jazz.
  • Soundtracks, TV, Video games: Children's Music, Classical, Contemporary Classical, New Age, Ambient, any music that can be airplayed as a background for illustration.
  • World: World, Celtic, Gospel, Funk, Latin, Reggae, Soul, etc.
  • Hip Hop/R&B: Hip-Hop, Rap, Urban, R&B

 

Each band/artist may submit up to 5 songs. 1 song may be entered into 1 category only and several songs may be entered into the same category. Entry fees are $15 (US) per entry.

 

All songs must be original. “Professional” recordings are not a submission requirement, and all songs will receive the same consideration. Songs can be instrumental or with lyrics and lyrics will not be taken into consideration, as the contest is international.
